Trek - Kaghan Valley & Nanga Parbat – Stunning south views of Nanga Parbat
In the backdrop of Kashmir Kaghan valley and Nanga Parbat treks offer a wonderful opportunity for hikers and trekkers in search of flora and fauna. Our first part of the trekking sprint starts at exploring the side valley leading to Dudipatsar Lake offers some grand moments of looking at the grand flora of Kaghan valley. The second part covers one of the most beautiful most sought after views of Nanga Parbat the killer mountain remains a great challenge and a dream of any climber. Rupal valley leads to stunning views of this great mountain remains a legend smong the climbing world.
Itineraries
Day 01: Arrive Islamabad
Meeting on arrival assistance and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon orientation tour of Islamabad.
Day 02: Islamabad – Kaghan valley – Battakundi
Morning leave for alpine Kaghan valley – many photogenic stops enroute. We shall arrival in the late afternoon with wonderful views all around. Transfer to local guest house. Time permitting we shall have short hike around our guest house to acclimatize.
Day 03: Battakundi – Babusar Pass – Astore valley – Rama Lake Meadows
Battakundi – Babusar Pass – Astore – Rama – 210 kms – 7 hrs drive
Morning we shall start our drive to Astore valley – soon after leaving Besal we shall drive past Lake Lulusar and gradually climb up to Babusar Pass(4137m) in the village and drie past Chilas town onto Karakoram Highway. Few gentle stops enroute with short views of Nanga Parbat peak. Enter into Astore valley after re-crossing Indus river follow Astore river to Astore village to Rama Meadows and transfer to local guest house.
(Trek 5 Days Nanga Parbat)

Day 04: Rama – Herrlingkoffer Base camp – great views of Nanga Parbat
Rama – Tarishing village – 8 kms – (2922m) Tarishing – Herrlingkoffer Base camp – Trek – 5/6 hrs – (3550m)
After breakfast drive to Tarishing village – on arrival start trek to beautiful Rupal village to Herrlingkoffer Base camp along Bazhin glacier to the camp side (3550m). o/n tents

Day 05: Nanga Parbat views at Latobah
Herrlingkoffer Base Camp – Latobah – Trek – 2 hrs – 3 kms – (3530m)
We shall cross Bazhin glacier higher up Rupal Gah tp Latobah meadows or pastures. Great views of the south face – o/n tents.

Day 06: Trek to grandest of meadows with views
Latobah – Shaigiri – Trek – 4 hrs – 5 kms – (3655m)
Continue in Rupal Gah trek over rocky surface skirting Shaigiri glacier to beautiful Shaigiri summer pasture – stunning views of south face of Nanga Parbat (8125m). o/n tents.

Day 07-08: Return trek – Astore Rama
Shaigiri – Return trek to Tarishing – Trek – 2 days – 18 kms
On arrival drive to Astore Rama Guest House.

Day 09: Rama – Deosai plains National Park – Skardu – Khaplu
Astore – Deosai Plains – Skardu – Khaplu – 267 kms – 8/9 hrs
Today we shall drive up the beautiful Deosai National Park is high altitude plain rich in flora and fauna drive to descend across into Sadpara to Skardu. After a brief rest we shall proceed to Khaplu – arrival and transfer to hotel.

Day 10: Hushe village excursion – Masherbrum peak views
Khaplu – Hushe – Khaplu
Day excursion to Hushe – beautiful Machlu village to Hushe with views of Masherbrum. Later return to Khaplu – visit Chaqchan Mosque.

Day 11: Khaplu – Shiger – the grand mosque – Skardu

Morning depart for Skardu enroute visit of Shiger – the old mosque and shrines on arrival transfer to hotel.
